Objective

The objective of this project is to help students evaluate their preparedness for entrance exams and help with self-assessment, leveraging data to enable a better understanding of self, effective study habits, and strategize their efforts for realistic goals. 

Outcome

Study Menti is a self-assessment app, that empowers students to prepare for competitive entrance exams. Through personalized assessments and adaptive learning, the app pinpoints each student's strengths and weaknesses, creating a customized learning path with targeted practice questions, and insightful video lectures. Track progress, stay motivated with gamified challenges, and connect with a supportive community of peers and mentors

In India, every year 5 million students appear for entrance exams.

Coaching classes

The lack of an education system, mandatory entrance exams, and immense competition have resulted in the emergence of numerous entrance coaching classes.

 

Coaching classes target more no. of student selection rather than actual learning. The entrance Exam Preparation or Coaching Industry in India is estimated to be 70,000 Crores ($10 Billion) in 2017.

In coaching classes, students with different learning abilities and grasping power are forced into one hard and rigorous regime leaving them burdened and under high pressure.

How can a student self-assess their preparedness before an entrance exam?

Student Survey 

We conducted quantitative and qualitative research to understand the entrance exam preparation approach and find out what are the major factor the students need to prepare for their exam.

Research Methodology ​

How will it work?

Study Menti will allow the student to prepare for their exam by giving the test on our platform, which is backed by formative assessment and adaptive learning. The system will use a machine learning program to accurately depict students' shortcomings and use their learning styles through repeated tests. The platform can estimate the score prediction of users based on the previous year's exam pattern and other results of the user on the app. Resources will be sent to the user based on their low-score subject and high-score subject.

Learnings

Gamifying the app with interactive charts, streak badges, and other visualized progress tracks is crucial for maintaining high levels of engagement and learning.

The app should strike a balance between AI-personalized recommendations and offering students sufficient user control over their learning journey.

Limiation

This app's target audience is limited to students who overlap their preparation for two entrance exams. Collaboration with subject matter experts remains crucial to ensure the quality of the content.
